Help Connecting And Logging On

I been tryin and tryin reading the fourms like crazy...but im definitly doin somthig wrong i guess, it keeps telling me unable to vaildate game version...
i changed the WTF so i got 2 lines that say

set realmlist wowdb.ath.cx
set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

umm ive registered with u guys, im not running TBC or LICH...i hope that dont matter
my game version 3.1.0 (April 2009)

our server is on patch 3.09

u must downgarde ur wow to that patch (3.09) n then im sure u'll be able to log in without problems

1. Go to your world of warcraft folder, usually C:/program files/world of warcraft/
2. Find the /data folder
3. Go into /enus/engb folder
4. Find and remove 'patch-enus.mpq'/'patch-engb.mpq'
5. Open up repair.exe in your main world of warcraft directory
6. Uncheck all check boxes and click the 'check files only'button
7. You have to let the repair run all the way to the end
8. You should be now at version 3.0.0
You have two options here:
9a. You can use the world of warcraft launcher (launcher.exe in your main /world of warcraft/ folder), or
9b. Download the patches manually from from a website such as Patch mirrors - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft.

Dont put on realmlist the patch thing at all and if you get updates via launcher, be sure not to install anything over 3.0.8

you gotta mod the realmlist.wtf file whihc is in wow\\Data\\enUS to


set realmlist wow.embersofthelegion.net

and not to wowdb.ath.cx

After you get to 3.0.9, make sure you change you shortcut to reference wow.exe (not launcher.exe). This will keep you from auto-patching up to 3.1.0 again.
