3.2.2 vs 3.1.3

OK all. We have an update and want to know what you think before we move forward. We have been told that we CAN update to 3.2.2, however there is an issue with WG (Wintersgrasp). It is not operational at this time. The TDB team is working on it. However we don't have the time table at this time. With that being said, we would like to know what you think.

Personaly, i would like to stick with what is currently working, and since wg is the most visited bg ingame, both form ally and horde players, i would not upgrade yet.

I think this patch don't bring so much to worth it. What about other buggs? Bugged quests, talents ...
But as always there are good ppl working on that issues ... so let them have satisfaction.
Anyway ... i'm kinda retrograde ... let it happend as late as it can.

just so everyone knows. Not upgrading means not using the last 2+ months of development work by the core and db teams. There are tons of fixes including creature damage and stats (like, all those creatures that have 1hp). Basically, if you guys would rather have a buggy WG than no WG and new patch/fixes then thats fine. I want to know how you guys feel though, as a whole. I will go w/what the community wants. Also, if it helps, 3.3.x development is going hard and heavy for the DB and core. There will not be another db release (after one coming very soon) for 3.2.2a.

Will there be new dungeons/raids available?

Boss fixies will indeed translate into more dungeons being available, plus new items, pets for me to give away on events, a lot of things really. I feel the question its overly simplified WG isnt all that great anymore.

Lack of a WG could possible mean more use of the BG's. Yes WG makes it far easier farming honor as well as marks to either use towards pvp gear or convert to either emblems or arena tokens, as well as opening up the whole concept of BG's to people new to pvp, but at the same time it's far different than BG's due to not having to deal with tenacity. I'm all for upgrading to 3.2.2a for bringing more content, giving us all some new encounters instead of the same ole things which many of us are tired of running More intances give more chances at players who are newer to gain xp with PvE so they know a bit more about what to do in raids(endgame content).

I agree with Mystic! It's not like WG is going away for ever. It's just in the process of being rewritten. So it'll be here ASAP!

i agree bring me patch 3.2.2

When it comes to the proper progression of content on this server I have every faith that the GMs, who are familiar with the pros and cons of updates/changes, are best suited to decide when the updates should be moved to. But seeing as we are being asked, i'll throw in my 2c

If an update to 3.2 is what we need to continue to expand content, then i'm all for it. Yes it sucks that updates break things that are working, but you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs right? I'm sure the GMs are more than happy to start sorting through the little bumps required to get back most of the content we presently enjoy, as well as perhaps some new stuff... WG is a temporary price to be paid, and a sacrafice quite possibly worth making. IMO anyway

I just say go for 3.2.2a cause there aren't many server that use 3.1.3 anymore.
So alot of people don't have 3.1.3. and that makes getting new people here alot harder.

So my vote is YOU CAN DO IT, CUT HIS F***ING HEAD OFF ( the head of 3.1.3 that is)

hey I look at it like this, I been been here since server start and I seen alot of good patches and some bad but at the end it was all great,, I say bring the patch. Sure WG will be offline for a bit but did that stop you pvp insane in the brainers before it was working, No . I wish to see the upgrade the staff worked hard for us so bring it on.

I'm all for it. We've documented any fixes we've made (Or Cran has them in his head) so it won't take long to be back up to speed. Most Argent Tourney dailies are working on 3.2.2.

Let's do it! Den is on the Dev Team and if he's comfortable with 3.2.2 stability so am I.

yes, the reason i didn't switch it over already is b/c vendors, trainers, etc were all jacked. i think all of that stuff has been fixed now. this should be a quality 3.2.2a release coming out any day now. As for 3.3.x development, they have been working onthat since the patch came out. There will be a conversation updatepack coming out shortly after this next one, but it will be just like the case for 3.2.2a. We could go to it on the first release, but usually its better to wait a bit for some unforeseen bugs to be worked out.

Seems like everyone is on the same page, when the updatepack comes out, i will move us to 3.2.2a. So, get your clients ready
